About
Dear Friends,
Welcome to Tamid Hebrew! You’ve found an online Jewish learning site that offers the most positive and easy to access tools for educating youth.
Tamid started as a synagogue community in New York City in 2012 and expanded to Westchester, NY, in 2021. For over a decade, we have been developing and piloting our curriculum for in-person and on-line learning for grades K-18.
Now, we’re offering it to everyone: think Khan Academy meets Hebrew School!
Tamid Hebrew has seven curricular areas and hundreds of lessons. We encourage you to be creative with the curriculum in the classroom or at home. For parents, we encourage you to learn alongside your child as they deepen their exposer to Judaism. For educators, we’ve found great success using this curriculum in traditional frontal methods and as a flipped classroom experience. For sure, the videos make it engaging and very accessible to most types of learners.
The Tamid Network is independent and does not affiliate with any denomination, philosophy, or theology. We leave that important framing to each student, family, and community. At Tamid, we observe a new approach to Judaism which we call “Positive Judaism.” Our communities and curriculum are focused on celebrating the best in Jewish life today for everyone and all backgrounds.
If you are a creator of Jewish learning and lessons, we’d love to feature your content. Please write to us at connect@tamidnyc.org
We pray that Tamid Hebrew expands the love of Judaism in your lives, your family, and your community.
